Gather the Wealth of the Lord, and give up your corrupt ways.
Practice truth, contentment, and kindness. These are the most profitable things you can gather.
Not worldly wealth. Not reputation. The wealth of the Lord, gathered through living rightly.
The practical triad: sach santokh da-iaa (truth, contentment, kindness). These three are named as what to karo kamaa-i (practice, earn, cultivate). They are framed as profitable activity — something that produces real return.
Guru Arjan is the most pragmatic of the Gurus in Siree Raag when it comes to virtue: he lists specific virtues and names them as the practice. Not just "be good" — specifically truth, contentment, kindness.
"Give up corrupt ways" — koor kapat chhaddo — active giving-up is required alongside the active gathering. Both movements: toward the good and away from the corrupt.
Of the three — truth, contentment, kindness — which comes most naturally to you? Which is hardest? What is one concrete thing you could do to strengthen the hardest one?
