The city of Lahore is a pool of ambrosial nectar, the home of praise. ||28||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The city of Lahore is a pool of sweet nectar, a home of praise.

Where the One is praised, even a city that has suffered becomes a pool of nectar.
The deeper layer

A place where the One is praised becomes a pool of nectar.

Laahour sahar amrit sar: the city of Lahore is a pool of nectar, siftee daa ghar, a home of praise. These words are by Guru Amar Das, the third Guru. Placed right after Guru Nanak's salok on Lahore's day of destruction, they show the same city in the light of praise.

A Question to Sit With

Can you think of a place or a time that was hard, but where you can also find something good worth praising?
