O Nanak, knowing this as Gurmukh, the mortal merges into the Perfect Lord God. ||33||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

All that the Perfect One does is perfect; nothing is too little, and nothing too much.

Nanak says: whoever turns to the Guru and knows this merges into the Perfect One.

All that the Perfect One does is complete, and knowing it, we merge into the One.
The deeper layer

Everything the Perfect One does is complete, and knowing this is how we merge into the One.

Pooray kaa kee-aa sabh kichh pooraa: all that the Perfect One does is perfect. Ghat vaDh kichh naahee: nothing is short, nothing is extra. The one who turns to the Guru, gurmukh, knows this, aisaa jaanai, and merges into the Perfect One.

These are the last of Guru Nanak's saloks in this collection.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something in your life that felt wrong at the time but later looked like it belonged after all?
