The One Who Holds No Grudge

jug jug thaap sadaa nirvair.
Throughout the ages, the Lord is eternally established; He has no vengeance.
janam maran nahee DhanDhaa Dhair.
He is not subject to birth and death; He is not entangled in worldly affairs.
jo deesai so aapay aap.
Whatever is seen, is the Lord Himself.
aap upaa-ay aapay ghat thaap.
Creating Himself, He establishes Himself in the heart.
aap agochar DhanDhai lo-ee.
He Himself is unfathomable; He links people to their affairs.
jog jugat jagjeevan so-ee.
He is the Way of Yoga, the Life of the World.
kar aachaar sach sukh ho-ee.
Living a righteous lifestyle, true peace is found.
naam vihoonaa mukat kiv ho-ee. ||15||
Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, how can anyone find liberation? ||15||

In plain words

Age after age the One stands firm, holding not one grudge against anyone.

It isn't caught in being born and dying, or tangled in busywork.

Whatever you see — it is the One's own self.

Making itself, it settles into every heart.

The One is beyond our reach, and it is the One who sets people to their work.

The One is the true way of Yoga, the Life of the world.

Live a good and true life, and peace comes. Without the Naam, how can anyone be free?

The One at the center of everything holds no grudge against anyone.
The deeper layer

Nirvair — without enmity or vengeance — echoes the Mool Mantar. Jo deesai so aapay aap — all that is seen is the One's own self, a non-dual statement. Kar aachaar sach sukh — righteous living brings true peace. The landmark here is the model of a heart that holds no grudge.

A Question to Sit With

What would it feel like to carry no grudge at all?
