In plain words

On the first day of the moon's cycle, turn your thoughts toward the Beloved One.

This One is playing right inside your own heart, and yet has no body at all — Endless, with no edges anywhere.

The one who stays settled in that first, original Presence is never swallowed by the fear of death. That fear simply cannot reach a heart that rests there.

On any day at all, turn toward the Beloved playing inside your own heart — and the fear of death loses its grip.
The deeper layer

This is the first thitee — the first lunar day, parivaa. Kabir uses the day as a memory-hook, not a magic date: parivaa preetam karahu beechaar — on day one, contemplate the preetam (Beloved). The teaching that follows is pure non-duality: ghat meh khaylai aghat apaar — the One “plays” within the ghat (heart, vessel) yet is aghat (bodiless) and apaar (limitless). kaal kalpanaa kaday na khaa-ay — the churning fear of death (kaal kalpanaa) never consumes the one who aad purakh meh rahai samaa-ay — stays absorbed in the Aad Purakh, the Primal Being. The attention is turned from the date to the remembrance; the day is just the peg the teaching hangs on.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you look for something wonderful — far away, or right inside you?
