In plain words

Then comes Hindol, with its five wives and eight sons.

Waves of melody rise up when the sweet-voiced singers sing together.

Some music swings you like a swing, rising and returning, rising and returning.
The deeper layer

Hindol rises in waves of melody, like a swing going up and back.

Hindol means a swing, and the raag is linked with springtime and the swinging festivals of that season. Utheh taan kalol means waves of melody rise up: the lifting, swaying feeling the name suggests. Here the garland pauses on one raag before naming its family in the next part.

A Question to Sit With

What song makes you feel like you are being lifted and gently carried?
