My One — the cause behind all causes — is all-powerful, the giver of peace; my Lord, my King.
Nanak lives by chanting Your Name; You are my helper, with me through and through.
The vast cause behind everything is also the closest helper, with you through and through.
The close rests on the One as "the Cause of all causes" and, intimately, "my helper, with me, through and through" (ang-sang — present in every fiber). The vast Cause of everything is also the closest companion. Nanak "lives by chanting Your Name" — the Name as breath and the One as the ever-present help.
