ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਤਿ ਆਵੈ ॥

By Guru's Grace, this wisdom has come.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਅੰਕਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪॥੧੬॥
jan naanak har kai ank samaavai. ||4||16||
Servant Nanak has merged into the Being of the Lord. ||4||16||

By the Guru's grace, this understanding came to me.
Servant Nanak has merged into the Being of the One.
The understanding that the One is everything is itself a gift — and it ends in becoming one with the One.
The close credits it all to grace — "by Guru's Grace, this wisdom has come" — and ends in merger: "merged into the Being of the Lord." The one who finds the One as companion, support, and banker finally dissolves into that One.
