Serving the True Guru, all rewards are obtained. ||1||

In plain words

When the One shows mercy, the mind turns and rests on Him.

Serving the true Guru, every reward is found.

Even your turning toward what's good is a kind of grace.
The deeper layer

This one is about how even turning toward the One is a gift.

Parabh ho-ay kirpaal ta ih man laa-ee — when the One is kind, this mind settles on the One. So even paying attention to the One is grace, a free gift.

Think of a friend who calls your name across a noisy playground. You turn because they called you first.

Satgur sayv sabhai fal paa-ee — serving the true Guru, every reward is found. You don't need to chase rewards one by one. They come along with the serving.

A Question to Sit With

Have you noticed that sometimes the wish to do good simply arrives, as if given?
