Maa-i-aa mohi so-ay rahay abhaagay means "caught in love of Maya, the unlucky stay asleep." Maya is the pull of things, money, and showing off. Moh means clinging to them. This sleep is not in bed. It is going through life without noticing what really matters.
Gur parsaad ko virlaa jaagay means "by the Guru's grace, a rare one wakes up." Gur parsaad means the Guru's grace, a gift freely given.
