Everything which exists was created by You. You are my hope, forever and ever. ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
What shall I say, and to whom? Whatever I have to say, I say to God.
Everything that exists, You made. You are my hope, forever and ever.
Whatever you have to say, there is finally only One to say it to.
Since the One knows all and made all, there is no one else to address: "what I have to say, I say to God." Every prayer, every complaint, every joy goes to the one Maker of all. And the One is named the soul's permanent hope — "forever and ever" (the meaning of Aasaa).
A Question to Sit With
If you could say one true thing to the source of everything, what would it be?
