Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When I forget You, everyone turns into my enemy; when You come to my mind, they all serve me.

I know no other at all, true and hidden One.

Forget the One, and the world feels like an enemy; remember, and it feels like a friend — the change is inside you.
The deeper layer

A profound psychological truth: "if I forget You, then everyone becomes my enemy. When You come to mind, then they serve me." The outer world mirrors the inner state — a heart full of the One meets a friendly world; a heart that forgets meets a hostile one. The change is within, not without.

A Question to Sit With

Have you noticed the same people seem hostile or kind depending on your own mood?
