Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When You are in my mind, You are always merciful to me — so what can anyone do to me?

Tell me: whom should I call good, and whom bad, when all beings are Yours?

If everyone belongs to the One, who exactly are you so sure is 'bad'?
The deeper layer

Two fruits of remembrance: security ("what can the poor people do to me?") and non-judgment ("who should we call good or bad, since all beings are Yours?"). If every being belongs to the One, the habit of sorting people into good and bad collapses (cf. Shabad 40).

A Question to Sit With

When have you been too quick to sort someone into 'good' or 'bad'?
