Forever and ever, surrender to the True Guru. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Celebrate, make merry, and sing the glories of the One.

Forever and ever, surrender to the true Guru.

Devotion can be a celebration — singing and making merry, not grim duty.
The deeper layer

The Pause is joyful: "celebrate, make merry, and sing God's Glories." Devotion here is festivity, not grimness — and its ground is continual surrender to the Guru. Joy and surrender go together.

A Question to Sit With

When has something deeply meaningful also been genuinely joyful for you?
