Says Nanak: whoever takes the One's shelter
finds peace in this world and freedom in the next.
Taking shelter in the One brings peace now and freedom later — both at once.
The close gathers both worlds: "obtains peace in this world, and salvation in the world hereafter." Taking the One's sanctuary is not a bet on the afterlife alone — it brings peace now and freedom then. The shelter pays in both currencies.
