You are weighed down with desire, attachment, and ego;
the fault is not God the Creator's.
This one says it is not the Maker's fault when the gift slips away. Our wants, clinging and pride weigh us down.
This is an honest moment. Dos naahee prabh karnaihaaray — the fault is not the One's, the Maker's.
The nectar did not slip because the One held it back. It slipped because the hands were already full. Saad mohi laadee ahaNkaaray — they were loaded with wanting, clinging and ahankaar, which means pride or ego.
Think of trying to catch a ball while your arms are full of toys. You drop the ball, but not because the thrower missed. Your arms had no room. The verse asks us to own our part.
