The sandy shore is being washed away by the waves.
Yet the fool still believes that ground is solid and will last.
We so often mistake crumbling sand for solid ground.
This one gives another picture of the same mistake.
Waves are washing away a sandy shore. It crumbles even while a man stands on it. Yet the fool still thinks that place will last forever.
Think of standing at the edge of the beach as the waves pull the sand from under your feet. We build on sand the waves are already taking. We take the shakiest ground for solid rock.
A Question to Sit With
What 'solid ground' in your life might actually be sand the waves are taking?
