Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
parabh kee pareet sadaa sukh ho-ay.
In the Love of God, eternal peace is obtained.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
parabh kee pareet dukh lagai na ko-ay.
In the Love of God, one is not touched by pain.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਲੁ ਖੋਇ ॥
parabh kee pareet ha-umai mal kho-ay.
In the Love of God, the filth of ego is washed away.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਸਦ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥
parabh kee pareet sad nirmal ho-ay. ||1||
In the Love of God, one becomes forever immaculate. ||1||

In the love of God, you find a peace that lasts. In the love of God, pain cannot touch you.
In the love of God, the filth of ego is washed away. In the love of God, you become forever spotless.
Everything good flows from one spring: love for the One.
The shabad runs an anaphora — "In the Love of God" — and lets everything good flow from that one source: lasting peace, freedom from pain, the washing of ego, eternal purity. Divine love is not one blessing among many but the spring from which all blessings rise.
