Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Where so many groups of travelers are caught,
the holy Saints stay with the Highest One.
Where the crowds get caught, the Saints are somewhere else entirely — with the One.
Many travelers get caught on the dangerous road, but the Saints are somewhere else.
Jah aavtay bahut ghan saath — there, where so many caravans are caught. A caravan is a big group of travelers moving together. Picture a road where whole crowds are stopped and seized.
Paarbarahm kay sangee saadh — the holy ones stay with the Paarbrahm, the Highest One. Their safety is not better luck on the same road. They are in a different place entirely. They are with the One.
A Question to Sit With
Where can you 'be' inwardly so that outer dangers can't seize you?
