Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Your doings seem so sweet to me.
Nanak begs only for the treasure of the Name.
When all the One does tastes sweet, the only thing left to ask for is the Name.
The close holds the sweet Hukam — "Your actions seem so sweet to me" (bhana mitha) — and the one humble request: "Nanak begs for the treasure of the Naam." Accepting all the One does as sweet, the soul asks for nothing but the Name (cf. Shabad 60).
A Question to Sit With
If you found whatever happens acceptable, what would you still want to ask for?
