You may perform tens of thousands of actions, but the craving for things is never satisfied.
Servant Nanak has made the Name his support; he has renounced all other entanglements.
No amount of doing satisfies craving — only changing what you lean on does.
The close: "tens of thousands of actions" cannot satisfy attachment — doing more never fills the craving (cf. Shabad 178, the more you have, the more you want). The only escape is to change support entirely: "Nanak has made the Naam his Support" and "renounced other entanglements".
A Question to Sit With
Have you noticed that 'doing more' rarely fills the wanting?
