Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I have pursued all pleasures, but none is as great as the Lord.

By the Pleasure of the Guru's Will, the True Master is obtained.

Having tried every pleasure, you may find that none compares to the One.
The deeper layer

A verdict from experience: "I have pursued all pleasures, but none is as great as the Lord." Having tried everything, the soul finds nothing that compares to the One — and the One is reached not by more pursuit but "by the Pleasure of the Guru's Will," by grace (cf. Shabad 102, Shabad 146).

A Question to Sit With

Have you chased many things and found none of them quite enough?
