Know that there is absolutely no difference; they are exactly like the Lord. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

What are they like — those who never forget the Name?

Know that there is no difference at all: they are exactly like the One.

Those who never forget the One become, in the end, just like the One.
The deeper layer

A startling claim: those "who do not forget the Naam" become "exactly like the Lord" — "there is absolutely no difference." The soul that never forgets the One takes on the One's nature, the merger of Shabad 174 ("He and I are of the same color"). Constant remembrance makes the rememberer like what he remembers.

A Question to Sit With

Do we slowly become like whatever we keep our minds on?
