Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The Lord is dear to those who are pleasing to His Will.
By the Guru's grace, Nanak describes the indescribable.
Even words about the One are a gift of grace — describing the indescribable.
The close: the One is dear to "those who are pleasing to the Will of God" — the bond is mutual, resting on alignment with the Hukam. And Nanak "describes the indescribable" by Guru's Grace — even his words about the One are a gift; what can't be put into words is spoken only because grace lends the tongue.
