Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Chanting and meditating on the Name, the mortal never comes to regret.

O Nanak, I thirst for the sight of You; please fulfill my desire, Lord.

A life of remembrance is a life without regret — thirsting only to see the Beloved.
The deeper layer

Two notes: remembrance leaves "no regret" (the regretful life of Shabad 166, avoided), and the soul "thirsts for the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan." The Name keeps a life free of regret, and the heart longs only to see the Beloved.

A Question to Sit With

What would you want never to look back on with regret?
