Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

You are the True Lord, the treasure of excellence; O God, You are deep and unfathomable.

The Lord Master is the hope and support of Nanak's mind.

When no person is a lasting companion, the One becomes your hope and support.
The deeper layer

The close rests on the One as "the treasure of excellence," "deep and unfathomable," and — the keyword of the raag — "the hope and support of Nanak's mind." When no person is a lasting companion, the unfathomable One is the soul's hope.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you place your deepest hope?
