My vows have been honored, by the Grace of God and the True Guru, who has showered His Mercy. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Forever, sing the praises of the One, and chant the Name of the Destroyer of ego.

My vows have been honored, by the grace of God and the true Guru, who has showered His mercy.

The Name is the destroyer of ego — and even your vows are kept by grace.
The deeper layer

The One is named "the Destroyer of ego" (haumai) — remembering Him is what dismantles pride. And "my vows have been honored" by grace: the soul's intentions are fulfilled not by its own strength but by the mercy of God and Guru. Even our vows are kept by grace.

A Question to Sit With

What vow or intention of yours has been fulfilled with help beyond your own?
