Nanak has obtained the commodity of the One Name; he lives by chanting it within his heart.
The one commodity worth your whole life's trade is the Name.
The Kirtan is a Nectar few truly drink (the Har Ras), and the Name is the one "commodity" worth trading for (the merchant image). Nanak "lives by chanting" — remembrance as life itself.
