In plain words

Even a tiny worm, sealed inside a stone with no way out, is looked after.

So Dhanna says: don't be afraid, dear soul — you are cared for too.

Even a worm sealed inside a stone is cared for — so no matter how trapped or alone you feel, you are cared for too. Fear not.
The deeper layer

Dhanna gives his final, most striking example — and then the reassurance the whole shabad was building toward. The worm lies hidden under the stone, with no way to escape — a creature in the most trapped, hidden, hopeless situation imaginable, sealed inside solid rock. And yet, the Perfect Lord takes care of him. Even there, even for the most hidden and helpless creature, the One's care reaches. And so the shabad's beautiful conclusion, spoken straight to the heart: fear not, O my soul. If the One provides for the baby turtle with no mother, and the worm sealed in stone, then you — worried about your own troubles — are certainly cared for. There is nothing to fear. For a child, this is one of the most comforting messages in all of scripture: no matter how trapped, alone, or forgotten you might ever feel, a loving care reaches you there, always. Fear not.

A Question to Sit With

When you feel worried or alone, how might it help to remember even the worm in the stone is cared for?
