Even Brahma and the sages Sanak, Sanandan, Sanaatan and Sanat Kumar, find it difficult to obtain the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. ||2||

Even Brahma and the great sages find it hard to obtain the Mansion of His Presence.
Even the greatest beings strain for what grace freely gives the humble.
The soul cannot live without the One (the viraha of constant need), and the One is not cheaply found: "even Brahma and the sages... find it difficult to obtain the Mansion." The greatest beings strain for what grace gives the humble.
