How long can you run upon a wall? Ultimately, you come to its end. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

It is like the clothes you wear — they wear out in a few days.

How long can you run upon a wall? In the end, you come to its edge.

Life is like running along a wall — run as far as you like, you'll reach its edge.
The deeper layer

Two images of limits: the body and its goods are like clothes that "wear off," and life is like "running upon a wall" — you can run only so far before "you come to its end." Every path on the wall of mortal life reaches its edge.

A Question to Sit With

If you knew you'd soon reach the wall's edge, how would you run?
