Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Soul, mind, body, and breath all belong to God, who has given all tastes and pleasures.

He is the Friend of the poor, the Giver of life, the Protector of those who seek His Sanctuary.

The One who gave you everything is also the special friend of the poor and the sheltering.
The deeper layer

Everything we are and enjoy is the One's gift — "soul, mind, body, breath... all tastes and pleasures." And He is named tenderly: "Friend of the poor... Protector of those who seek His Sanctuary." The Giver of all is also the friend of the lowest.

A Question to Sit With

What does it change to see everything you have and enjoy as a gift?
