Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

O my mind, meditate on the Name of the One.

Here and hereafter, He is our Helper and Companion; embrace love for the One.

A companion who is with you here and hereafter is worth all your love.
The deeper layer

The Pause: the One is "Helper and Companion" "here and hereafter" — in this life and beyond. The soul is urged to "embrace love and affection for the One Lord," because such a companion, who never leaves across both worlds, is worth all one's love.

A Question to Sit With

Who is with you across everything — and how do you love them back?
