Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Lust, anger, and ego depart on meeting the Divine True Guru.

Implant the Name within, perform devotional worship, and serve God — this is good.

Meeting what is true, the passions simply depart — and the good life is plain: hold the Name and serve.
The deeper layer

Meeting the Guru, the passions "depart" — not fought off but dissolved in His presence. And the simple summary of the good life: "implant the Naam within, perform devotional worship... and serve God - this is good." Plain, doable, sufficient.

A Question to Sit With

What harmful pull in you fades not by fighting it but in better company?
