Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I seek the Sanctuary of Your Feet, O Merciful One; You are the Honor of the dishonored.
You are the Support of my soul and breath; O God, You are Nanak's strength.
The One is the honor of the dishonored and the support of your very breath.
The close: the One is "the Honor of the dishonored" (the dignity of the shamed, cf. Shabad 194) and "the Support of my soul, my breath of life... my strength." The soul leans wholly on the One who lifts the lowly and holds up the very breath.
