Even people who argue all the time, who are cruel and shameless,
have been made pure in Your company.
The Guru's Word can reach even the hardest, meanest people and make them clean inside.
Guru Arjan names them. Some people argue all the time. Some are dusat, cruel and harmful. Some are shameless. Tay puneet sangaaray — even they are made pure in the Guru's company.
Think of muddy boots under a running tap. However thick the mud, clean water keeps washing it away. The holy company works like that clean water.
So no one is too far gone to be washed clean in good company. Another shabad of Guru Arjan in this raag says the same thing: the Name can lift even an unknown, forgotten soul into honor.
