Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Remember the One in meditation within your mind.

It can be as simple as this: remember the One, within.
The deeper layer

This one says it can be this simple: remember the One, inside.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad, the hymn. Ayk simar man maahee — remember the One within your mind. Simar means to remember, to keep in mind with love.

Everything else in the shabad grows out of this one simple step. Think of a seed. The whole plant is already packed inside it. Just keep the One in your mind, quietly, wherever you are.

A Question to Sit With

What is the one simple practice you keep returning to?
