Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By His mercy, I easily gained the sight of Him; now I am filled with the Love of the One.

Serving the Saints, I feel love and affection for my Beloved Master.

The sight that effort couldn't force came easily, by mercy — and service grows the love.
The deeper layer

The sight that hard work could not force came through kindness.

Kirpaa paa-ay sehjaa-ay darsaa-ay — by His mercy, I easily got to see Him. Darshan means a loving sight of the One. It did not come from straining or pushing. It came sehjaa-ay, easily, as a gift.

Think of a friend who shows up at your door with a surprise. You did not earn the visit. You just open the door.

Then the love grows through sant sayv, serving the Saints, the good people who love the One. Grace gives the sight. Serving good people makes the love grow deeper.

A Question to Sit With

What came to you easily by grace that you couldn't have forced?
