Day and night, praise the Naam, in the Sanctuary of the True Guru's protection. ||6||

In plain words

Give up the crooked path of duality, brothers and sisters, or you will be robbed on it.

Day and night, praise the Name, safe in the Sanctuary of the True Guru's protection.

The divided road is bandit country; the undivided heart travels under guard.
The deeper layer

The road of a split heart is full of robbers.

Dubidhaa means a divided heart, half toward the One and half toward a hundred wants. The verse calls it kuvaatarhee, a bad road. Mooshugay bhaa-ee — you'll be robbed, brothers and sisters. People in that time knew such roads well. Bandits waited on them. On this road we get robbed of our time, our peace, and even the very things we left the path to grab.

Against that risky road, the verse offers a safe house: satgur sarnaa-ee, the shelter of the True Guru, with praise of the Name day and night. Think of a game where you can't decide which team you're on. You end up losing on both sides. The safest road turns out to be a home.

A Question to Sit With

Where does your loyalty split in two — and what does the split cost you?
