Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Enshrine the Lord and Master in your mind, and you will have nothing to repent.
He forgives our failings when we practice the Teachings of the Guru's Word.
This one says that when we live the Guru's Word, the One forgives.
saahib ridai vasaa-ay — keep the Master in your heart. Then there is nothing to regret later. gunhaa bakhsanhaar — the One forgives our wrongs, sabad kamaavahee, when we live the Word.
Notice this: forgiveness comes with practice, not with being perfect. It comes to people who are trying, even when they trip. Think of learning to ride a bike. Your parent does not wait until you ride perfectly to hug you. The hug comes while you are still wobbling.
Grace does not wait for a finished person. It meets the one who is trying, on the road, already forgiving.
What is one teaching you know is true but have not yet made a practice?
