Recognize the Lord's Light within all, and do not consider social class or status; there are no classes or castes in the world hereafter. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

See the same light shining inside every single person.

Never sort people by class or rank — where the One is, there are no castes at all, no high and no low.

The same light is inside everyone — so there is no one to look down on, and no one beneath you.
The deeper layer

Everyone carries the same light inside, so no one is higher or lower.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Jaanhu jot na poochhahu jaatee — see the light, and don't ask about caste. Jot means light. Jaat means caste, the old system that sorted people by the family they were born into.

In Guru Nanak's time, much of life was arranged around caste. He says plainly that it means nothing before the One: "there are no classes or castes in the world hereafter." Think of a string of lamps. The glass may come in many shapes and colors, but the light inside is the same. Ranking people is simply not seeing that light.

A Question to Sit With

If you truly saw the same light in every person you met today, what would you do differently?
