One True Taste and the Searching Stops

har ras jinHee chaakhi-aa pi-aaray taripat rahay aaghaa-ay. ||7||
Those who have tasted the Lord's sublime essence, O Beloved, remain satisfied and satiated. ||7||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Those who have truly tasted the sweetness of the One are full — deeply, completely full. Nothing is missing anymore.

One true taste of what you're longing for fills you so completely that the searching stops.
The deeper layer

This one says: taste the real thing once, and the searching stops.

Har ras jinHee chaakhi-aa — those who have tasted har ras, the sweetness of the One. Taripat rahay aaghaa-ay — they stay full and satisfied. Taripat is a deep fullness that ends craving.

Hunger pushes us from one thing to the next. This taste is the one that finally fills.

It answers the earlier verse. There, the stand-ins went tasteless. Here, the true flavor arrives. Think of a big, warm meal at home after a long day. You do not go looking for snacks afterward. You are simply full. This fullness lasts, and does not send you searching again.

A Question to Sit With

What is something that leaves you truly full — not wanting more, just content?
