Things Rise and Fall in Season; One Hand Watches

ਢਢੈ ਢਾਹਿ ਉਸਾਰੈ ਆਪੇ ਜਿਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਕਰੇ ॥
dhadhai dhaahi usaarai aapay ji-o tis bhaavai tivai karay.
Dhadha: He Himself establishes and disestablishes; as it pleases His Will, so does He act.
kar kar vaykhai hukam chalaa-ay tis nistaaray jaa ka-o nadar karay. ||17||
Having created the creation, He watches over it; He issues His Commands, and emancipates those, upon whom He casts His Glance of Grace. ||17||

In plain words

The One sets things up and takes them down again, exactly as feels right to that One.

Having made everything, the Maker watches over it, and lifts up whoever grace touches.

Things rise and fall in their season — and the same hand that unbuilds them also watches over you.
The deeper layer

The letter Dhadha (retroflex) states the rhythm of all things: the One establishes and disestablishes (dhaahi usaaray) — builds up and takes down — jiv tis bhaavai, however it pleases. There's a deep steadiness in accepting this: seasons turn, things rise and fall, and none of it is out of control or against you. And the point isn't cold fate — it's that the same One who builds and unbuilds also watches over and emancipates under the Glance of Grace. The tearing-down and the saving come from one caring source.

A Question to Sit With

Does it help to remember that hard changes are part of a bigger rhythm, not the end of the story?
