In plain words

Go on — make the effort, you lucky ones — and turn your heart toward the One.

Remembering it, you'll find a deep peace, and your worries and doubts will lift.

You have a part to play — make the effort, and turn your heart toward what's good.
The deeper layer

The opening Shalok strikes a note the raag doesn't always sound: udam karahu — make the effort! Grace is a gift, yes, but you still have your part: you show up, you try, you turn your heart. And the ones urged to try are called vadbhaagee — very fortunate — as if the very chance to make the effort is itself good luck. The promise is simple and whole: remembering brings total peace, and pains, troubles, and doubts depart. Effort and grace aren't rivals here; you make the effort, and the peace is given.

A Question to Sit With

What's one small effort you could make toward something good, starting today?
