Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Those who hold onto the One live safe and unshaken — welcomed and embraced when they ask for shelter.
They're given everything they need, kept in good company, and quietly protected through it all.
After the traps, the rescue: the Lord's servants live by holding on to God's feet, and whoever seeks Sanctuary is embraced. The contrast with the earlier verses is the whole message — the deer, the fly, the elephant were caught alone; these are held. And notice everything is given: power, wisdom, meditation — even the impulse to remember is inspired by the One. You don't have to be strong enough to avoid every trap; you have to hold on and ask for shelter, and you're kept safe. The shabad that opened with a warning ends with an embrace.
Who or what do you hold onto to feel safe and steady?
