Real Understanding Makes You Quieter, Not Louder

kathnee badnee kahan kahaavan. samajh paree ta-o bisri-o gaavan. ||3||
When one comes to understand, he forgets his preaching, ranting and raving, and arguing. ||3||

In plain words

Real understanding is quiet — it doesn't need to preach, argue, or shout anyone down.

The moment you truly get it, all the ranting simply falls away.

Real understanding makes you quieter, not louder — when you truly get it, you don't need to argue or shout.
The deeper layer

This one says real understanding makes you quieter, not louder.

kathnee badnee kahan kahaavan — all the preaching, the loud talk, and the arguing. samajh paree ta-o bisri-o gaavan — once real understanding comes, all that is forgotten.

The person who truly understands stops needing to win arguments or lecture others. Deep understanding brings peace. And peace does not need to prove itself.

Think of two kids in class. One keeps shouting that they know the answer. The other quietly solves the problem. Often the calm one understands more. When you really know something in your heart, you can let the shouting go.

A Question to Sit With

Why might the person who argues the loudest sometimes understand the least?
