In plain words

The One is hidden inside every single heart — really think about that.

The same One lives in both Hindu and Muslim alike — and Kabir says this out loud for everyone to hear.

The very same One is hidden in every heart — in people of every faith — so you can't truly look down on anyone.
The deeper layer

This one says the same One lives in every heart, Hindu and Muslim alike.

Alhu gaib sagal ghat bheetar — the One is hidden inside every heart. Hirdai layho bichaaree — think about this deeply. Then Kabir closes: hindoo turak duhoo-an meh aykai kahai kabeer pukaaree — the One is within both Hindu and Muslim, and Kabir says it out loud.

The lines between religions sit on the surface. Underneath, one presence lives in every heart. Think of houses on a street at night, each with a different color of curtain. The same moon shines through every window.

And Kabir says it out loud. He is not whispering a private opinion. He is announcing a truth for everyone, across all the walls people build. In a world of many faiths, this is a treasure to keep. The same One is in the Hindu and the Muslim, the Christian and the Sikh, in you and in the stranger. Once you truly see that, you can't look down on anyone.

A Question to Sit With

If the same One lives in every person's heart, of every religion, how should that change how you see people?
