You Win at Life by Spending It in Joyful Love

ਕਹਤ ਕਬੀਰ ਬਹੂ ਤਬ ਜੀਤੈ ॥
kahat kabeer bahoo tab jeetai.
Says Kabir, the soul-bride shall win,
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਜਨਮੁ ਬਿਤੀਤੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੪॥
har gun gaavat janam biteetai. ||4||1||34||
only if she passes her life singing the Lord's Praises. ||4||1||34||

In plain words

Kabir says: the heart truly wins

by spending its whole life singing, with love, about the One.

You 'win' at life not by looking proper or collecting compliments, but by spending it in joyful love of the One.
The deeper layer

Kabir seals the shabad with its clear conclusion: the soul-bride wins only if she passes her life singing the Lord's Praises. The word wins matters — life is a bit like a game (as Kabir has said elsewhere), and here's how you actually win it: not by looking proper, not by collecting compliments, but by spending your whole life in joyful love of the One. That's the real adornment, the real victory, the thing that lasts when all the outer shows have faded. For a child, the whole shabad lands on a bright and simple truth: don't spend your life performing for approval — spend it singing, delighting in what's good and holy. A life full of joyful love is a life well and truly won.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to 'win' at life by filling it with joy and love rather than approval?
