The body that sings the One's praises is made holy.
The soul stays awake to the One, absorbed in its love.
The One is the endless First Being, beyond the beyond, a priceless jewel; my mind is utterly content, soaked in my Beloved.
Even the body becomes holy when it sings — you don't have to escape it.
The body itself is sanctified by praise — not despised as the renunciates would have it, but made holy in the act of devotion. This is deeply householder-friendly: the ordinary body, singing, becomes sacred. The result is total contentment — the restlessness of Shabad 38 finally stilled.
A Question to Sit With
How can an ordinary, physical act become something sacred?
