In plain words

Feed on the One's love, and doubt and fear leave you.

With the One keeping watch through the night, no thief can break in.

Let knowing the One be the mark on your forehead, and let knowing the One is inside you be how you tell real from unreal.

When the One keeps watch, no thief can break into your peace.
The deeper layer

This one says that when the One keeps watch over your heart, nothing can steal your peace.

Bhojan bhaa-o means "let love be your food." Eat that food, and bharam bha-o bhaagai, "doubt and fear run away." A heart fed on love grows strong.

Paahroo means a night watchman. With the One as your guard, no thief can break in. The thieves here are worry, anger, and greed that try to sneak into your heart.

Think of a house with a kind, wide-awake guard at the door all night. You can sleep in peace. That is what it is like to feel the One close.

Tilak is a mark some people wear on the forehead. Guru Nanak says to let knowing the One be your mark. Bibayk means telling real from unreal. That skill, he says, comes from knowing the One is inside you, not from being clever.

A Question to Sit With

What keeps watch over your heart — and what slips in when nothing does?
